It is now official that from september 22 2005 honda odyssey Minivan will be foe sale. The new honda would be produced in Honda plant in Albama which would be making somewhere around 1,60,000 car a year. Some of the announced features for 2005 odyssey are:-
$ Seating capacity for eight passengers and a spacious interior and it is more spacious then its previous model. $ Enhanced safety features like anti lock brakes, front side airbags, side curtain airbags for 3 rows with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) & rollover sensors. $ Cool features like 360 watt audio system, climate control(auto), tailgate(power), power adjustable pedals. $ A 3.5-liter V-6 engine which runs on 6 cylinders when accelerating and 3 cylinders when running. Cylinder deactivation would save fuel. (20 city and 28 highway mileage) $ Cool Michelin PAX System run-flat tire technology is used with tires which would make car to run at 50mph upto 10 miles in case of tire puncture. $ Voice-Activated Navigation System
Firm steering, brakes makes is more enjoyable to ride. Though like name there is nothing mini in this van. It comes with enhanced power i.e 255 hp torque of 250 lbs-ft. The new 2005 honda odyssey is longerand wider. It has made additional 2 inches space to its interiors and 1 inch gain in width. The exact price for 2005 honda odyssey is not yet known might be announced on 22nd as it comes to dealers but would be somewhere around $25,000 to $38,000.

New 2005 Honda Odyssey will be known for its comfort, design, reliablity, durablity, resalable value and for the space and room it provides, might be we could call it roomiest of all minivans. The major attraction would be 3.5-liter V-6 engine which runs on 6 cylinders when accelerating and 3 cylinders when running. This type of cylinder deactivation would save fuel which is much needed in the present times. The change in the cylinder usage would be so smooth that the driver would be unaware of such change as called "Active Noise" technology. The change for the new 2005 Honda Odyssey would be in functions and very little in looks.
The 2005 Honda Odyssey is going to come with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) & rollover sensors for its side curtain airbags. The body of the new Odyssey would be front-end frame structure, which would help in reducing the concentrated force of impact and would make it even over a large area.
Voice-Activated Navigation System which is there in Accord might be present in the 2005 Honda Odyssey. Probable accessories would be :-
a) underbody spoiler kits b) auto day/night mirror c) door visors d) cooler bags e) 3rd row sunshade f) interior cargo board g) table leg kit
The true picture of this new car is still not known and is only with the people at Honda. Once the vehicle is ready it could be seen in the markets. Till then any guess is appreciated :). Honda cars are famous with people who love dynamic drive. The only drawback is that the spare parts are a bit costly and third party parts are very seldom available. The car would be available in the market by August-September 2004 or begining of 2005.
